Apple sends spam notification promoting Amazon Echo getting Apple Music support

19 December 2018 3

Cupertino tech giant Apple was previously taken into court over an anti-spam app issue where an Indian telecom regulator urged Apple to install an anti-spam app though the company refused to do so. Now in the latest development in regards to spamming its customers its self, Apple has been accused of this from all corners. While Apple doesn’t use smartphone notifications for advertisement purposes, pushing new devices to the already set customer base, the company did push one of its products via notification and the people didn’t seem happy about it.

Previously Apple pushed an iPhone upgrade program via notification and then it was Carpool Karaoke new episode that was pushed which certainly annoyed people. It wasn’t later after than another product Amazon’s Echo smart speakers advertising Apple customers that it now supports Apple Music. While Apple has its very own product in competition with Amazon Echo in the shape of HomePod and also its very own voice-enabled assistant that goes in direct competition with Alexa. Though this time Apple thought to give a quick shoutout to Amazon Alexa product.

It seems that Apple’s partnership with Amazon has strengthened after the Cupertino tech giant begins selling iPhones directly via Amazon. Did you happen to receive the notification as well? Let us know in the comment section below.
