As per the latest report from DigiTimes, the Cupertino giant is getting ready to announce a couple of entry-level iPads in the first half of this year. One of the upcoming iPad will be the fifth iteration of the iPad Mini lineup whereas the other likely will be iPad 7 with toned down hardware. The last iPad Mini was announced back in 2015 and now the company is all set to announce its successor after four years. The iPad 6 was announced last year in H1 2019 with mid-range hardware at a price tag of $329.
Unfortunately, the latest report didn't reveal any details regarding the hardware or design details of the upcoming tablets. However, the report mentions the General Interface Solution (GIS) and TPK Holding are gearing to ensure stable shipments of upcoming iPads during the first half of this year.
Back in October, the well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted the iPad Mini 5 arrival . At that time Kuo stated Apple could announce iPad Mini 5 in late 2018 or early 2019. Later on in December, the China Times reported that Apple will announce new budget-friendly iPad soon, however, the report claims the device will have 10-inches display instead of regular 9.7-inches.
Alleged cases of iPad Mini 5 also appeared in the last week of December. All these leaks hint Apple is indeed working on a couple of entry-level iPads. The chances are high Apple will take the Spring event stage to announce these aforementioned iPads. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
