After weeks of beta testing, Apple has started to roll out stable builds for its different operating systems' latest versions. These include iOS 12.3 for smartphones/tablets, tvOS 12.3 for Apple TV, macOS Mojave 10.14.5 for MacBook, and watchOS 5.2.1 for Apple Watch smartwatches.
With iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3, Apple has released the all-new Apple TV app for all the users in regions for which app was announced. The app features a new design and allows users to buy or rent content for online streaming. The actual catalog of content will vary depending on the region like in India, the app currently offers only movies and no subscription services. It means once you update your device to the latest build, you will have to launch the app to see exactly what features app brings for you.
Other than this, the update brings AirPlay 2 support and Apple TV app for Samsung Smart TVs. These two new additions are for newer models including all of 2019 Samsung Smart TVs and select 2018 models. These features are said to become available via a new software update that should arrive anytime soon.
macOS Mojave 10.14.5 update is primarily focused on releasing bug fixes and under the hood improvements. Apple has plans for releasing the new Apple TV app for the platform as well but it is scheduled for later this year. As for watchOS 5.2.1, the update will expand ECG and irregular heartbeat notifications to Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Croatia, and Iceland.
