Apple regulatory filing suggests two new iPads coming this year

29 July 2019 0

Apple refreshed its iPad lineup earlier this year with the release of iPad mini (2019) and iPad Air (2019). It seems like the team is working on bringing more iPad models as reported by MySmartPrice. The report mentions that Apple has made a couple of new Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) filings about new iPad models.

The two iPad models are listed with model numbers A2200 and A2232. The listing does not reveal any technical specifications except that these will be running iOS 13 or better known as iPadOS 13. It leads to the speculation that Apple is likely to announce these new iPad models at the September-October event where it will also announce new iPhone models.

This new listing is in addition to the previously spotted five Apple iPad models. Those include A2197, A2228, A2068, A2198, and A2230 which makes it a total of seven new models. Just like the two new models, all those models are also listed with iPadOS 13 as the software.

The exact details are unknown at the moment but we can expect Apple to offer hardware improvements. These could be upgraded versions of iPad 9.7-inch and iPad Pro models. A recent report from China mentioned that new iPads will go under mass production starting in July 2019. We will be bringing all the information as soon as they will surface online.
