There have been numerous leaks related to 2019 iPhone lineup specs and features but when it comes to the naming scheme, details are quite scarce. But thanks to the latest leak, we have some information related to what Apple could be calling its new iPhones. The leak is based on ESR, a case maker, stock list referring upcoming iPhones as iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The listing was first spotted by a French publication iPhoneSoft which also shared a screenshot of the same. ESR believes that the iPhone 11 is an iPhone XR successor with a 6.1-inch IPS display. The iPhone 11 Pro is listed with a 5.8-inch OLED display which should be a successor to the iPhone XS. As for the iPhone Pro Max, it has 6.5-inch OLED display which means it will be replacing the currently available iPhone XS Max.
ESR seems to be confident about the naming scheme as it has released a whole lineup of cases for future iPhones. These include all sorts of cases including leather ones. It also has tempered glass protectors listed for the upcoming models. These listings are accompanied by renders showing the product design corroborating the square-shaped quad-camera module leaks.
While case makers are known to offer accurate details about yet-to-be-released products, they have also been found getting it wrong. This is the reason we would suggest you wait for a few more leaks or any official announcement for the time being. As for the official release, it should not be too far as Apple usually launches new iPhone models in the month of September.
