iPhone 11 is proving to be a hit among Indian buyers

30 September 2019 0

Apple's newly launched iPhone 11 series is available for purchase in many countries around the world and over this last weekend, it went on sale in India as well. If initial user response is to be believed, the iPhone 11 is proving to be a big hit among India fans of Apple and iPhones. The excitement level is said to be similar to when Apple launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 lineup about five years ago.

Indian fans were seen queuing outside various Apple authorized stores and waiting to get their hands on their respective preordered iPhone 11 units. The report specifically mentions DLF CyberHub in Gurugram, Palladium Mall at Lower Parell in Mumbai, and UB City in Bengaluru where crowds of iPhone fans were easily visible. Even on online platforms Amazon India and Flipkart, iPhone 11 went out of stock within three days of preorder bookings going live.

The demand seems to be higher particulatly for the iPhone 11 as it is the most affordable variant in the lineup. It is officially priced at Rs. 64,900 for the base model with 64GB storage space but when you add various offers/deals, there is a significant price drop which is more than enough to entice interested buyers. There are users who have managed to get a brand new iPhone 11 for as low as Rs. 53,000 with the help of various offers and trade-in deals.

Tarun Pathak of Counterpoint Research said,

"Looks like Apple iPhone 11 pricing strategy is going down well for the consumers. Additionally, the offers on top of it from the financial/retail partners make it a great buy for users looking to upgrade."

Another important reason is that many users are upgrading from models as old as iPhone 7 or iPhone 8. Apple has not only priced the latest model right in country but is also features that are seen as major upgrade over the models they were using previously. In other words, it is a win-win situation for buyers.

In a recent report, industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted iPhone 11 demand to be higher than initial expectations. He offered similar reasons for the increased demand and excitement level among buyers. He further added new color options as one of the major factors for the boosted interest.
