iPhoen SE 2 with Apple A13 processor to start at $399: Kuo

14 October 2019 0

The well-known research analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared some more iPhone SE 2 details. In his latest research note, he has offered an idea of what to expect in terms of technical specifications, pricing, and color variants. Some of the details are the same as his previous research notes but there are a few new predictions as well.

Kuo has maintained his previous claim that the iPhone SE 2 will be powered by the Apple A13 processor. It is the same processor that is available on the iPhone 11, the most affordable current-generation iPhone. It means the buyers should be future proof for a few years in terms of apps and game compatibility as well as software support. There will be 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM to go with the aforementioned processor which is only 1GB less than the iPhone 11 lineup.

Apple is said to release the iPhone SE 2 in two storage variants: 64GB and 128GB. These are the standard storage options among all modern smartphones regardless of the OEM. There will not be 3D Touch support on the upcoming device which is not surprising considering Apple has already ditched it on its latest releases. In terms of color options, buyers will be able to choose from Silver, Space Grey, and Red. The base model (64GB) of the iPhone SE 2 is expected to cost $399.

It is quite clear from the reported specifications that the alleged iPhone SE successor is turning out to be a great upgrade. It is already rumored to feature a design similar to the iPhone 8. With a better design, improved specifications, and new iOS software, the iPhone SE 2 appears to be a good upgrade for those still using old-generation models like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. It is expected to become official in Q1 2020 i.e. only in a matter of a few months.
