One of the most anticipated video streaming service Apple TV+ aka Apple TV Plus is now live in over 100 countries around the world. It was first announced at the beginning of the year but Apple revealed exact details at its annual hardware launch event in September. It is home to Apple's original content created in collaboration with who's who of Hollywood.
Apple TV Plus currently has only eight original shows for users but more will be added with time. It is priced at just $4.99 per month which makes it way cheaper than many other players in the market but again, you don't have much content to choose from. It is unknown whether Apple will increase the pricing once it has substantial content to offer but we are quite far away from reaching that point.
Apple TV Plus Shows:
- The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell
- See starring Jason Momoa
- Dickinson starring Hailee Steinfeld
- For All Mankind
- The Elephant Queen
The streaming service comes with a 7-day trial which offers free access to all the Apple TV Plus shows and their episodes. You will have to sign-in using your Apple ID to avail of the free trial. If you want to do link your account just yet, Apple is allowing you to see the first one or two episodes of certain shows. You can use these options to decide whether this new streaming service is worth your hard-earned money. Apple is also offering one year's free family plan subscription to everyone who purchases a new Apple device.
As for how to use Apple TV Plus, all you need is the new Apple TV app. It comes pre-installed on all iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices that are running the latest software. It is also available on select Sony and Samsung smart TVs along with Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices. You can also access the service via the Apple TV 4K set-top-box. Lastly, you can access Apple TV Plus by visiting tv.apple.com on Safari, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browser.
