Apple AirPods Pro now available in India for Rs. 24,990

13 November 2019 0

Apple has made its newest wireless earphones AirPods Pro available for purchase in India. These were introduced globally about two weeks ago and are a direct successor to AirPods 2. The biggest highlights of the new offerings include active noise cancellation, improved audio quality, and more comfortable wearing experience.

The new AirPods Pro will cost you Rs. 24,990 in India and will be sold via Apple Authorized Resellers in the offline market. If you prefer shopping online, you will be able to buy them via eCommerce sites like Amazon India and Flipkart for the same price. Additionally, Apple has priced the AirPods 2 with standard and wireless charging case at Rs. 14,900 and Rs. 18,900 respectively. The wireless charging case can also be purchased separately for Rs. 7,500.

Active noise cancellation is the biggest change included in AirPods Pro. It makes use of "two microphones combined with advanced software to continuously adapt to each individual ear and headphone fit" to offer a clear music listening experience even when in a noisy environment. For times when you might be interested in listening to what's going on outside, there is a Transparency Mode. You can adjust the level of this mode to decide how much of the outside sounds you want to hear.

AirPods Pro is powered by Apple's custom H1 processor featuring 10 audio cores. It offers Hey Siri hotword detection and wireless charging. These are said to be capable of lasting for up to four and a half hours during continuous music listening on a single charge but can last for about 24 hours with the help of the Wireless Charging Case. There is a Lightning port for charging purposes but come bundled with a Lightning to USB-C cable.
