iPad with mini-LED display, AirPods 3 launching H1 2021: Kuo

16 November 2020 0

We have been hearing rumors about Apple's plans to release products with mini-LED display panels for quite some time. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known research analyst, has also talked about such plans in his older notes and he is now back with a fresh one. He claims that we will get to see a new iPad with a mini-LED display and AirPods 3 during the first half of 2021.

Apple is said to be working with Career Technology for supplying min-LED display components for the new iPad. It is said to go under mass production next year that will make them ready for the launch time. For the uninitiated ones, mini-LED is a new display technology that offers benefits similar to the traditional OLED display panels. One of the major differences between the two technologies is that min-LED is said to be cheaper to produce.

As for the next-gen truly wireless earphones, Apple is working on AirPods 3 that will be third-generation earbuds. The design signature is said to be similar to the AirPods Pro. It means the users should be getting a similar user experience as the previous generation earbuds. Career Technology is said to be the component supplier for new AirPods as well.

Kuo is one of the most reliable tipsters when it comes to sharing information about yet-to-be-released Apple products. This does make these new leaks credible but we would still suggest not to get too excited. We have seen the company's change roadmap anytime in the product line. We will keep you updated on all the developments as and when they will surface.
