Apple is said to be prepping an upgrade of its entry-level iPad. According to a report from a Chinese outlet cnBeta, Apple is readying a 10.5-inch iPad with 64GB storage. This is tablet is said to be powered Apple A13 Bionic processor that is available on iPhone 11 series. These are the major highlights to differentiate it from the older 10.2-inch screen model launched back in September this year.
The report also claims the upcoming tablet does include some other differences as well, including a thinner and lighter profile. It is said to be retaining the basic design of the current model. It will also feature the traditional Touch ID. Internally, apart from the A13 chipset, the iPad model is expected to get 4GB RAM and a starting storage configuration of 64GB.
According to the report, Apple is sticking to the Lightning socket for this model.
Currently, Apple’s cheapest iPad model with the 10.2-inch screen was launched for $329 for the base model of 32GB. It also comes in a 128GB storage version. And, now Apple is said to be filling the gap between the storage variants by introducing a one with 64GB storage, though with some other upgrades as well.
