First, we heard rumors that the upcoming 4-inch iPhone 5se would come with 3D Touch and recently, it was said that it would not. Now, an iPhone 5se leaked screen assembly has corroborated the claims that the new iPhone will be missing out on one of the key features of newly released iOS 9.
In the image below, you can see the screen assembly on iPhone 5se on the left and that of the iPhone 6s on the right. The Yellow colored boxes on the right are showing the modules which are used by Apple for integrating the 3D Touch. As you can see, these are clearly missing on the left side which almost confirms that the iPhone 5se will not feature 3D Touch.
If it comes out to be true, it can prove to be a deal breaker for many who were thinking of getting the 3D Touch feature on a relatively cheaper iPhone. As for other specifications, the iPhone is rumored to come with 12MP camera, 1642mAh battery, and A9 chipset under the hood. It is also rumored to come with Touch ID, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, support for Live Photos, and 802.11ac WiFi. Apple was earlier rumored to launch the new iPhone on March 15 but now it is rumored to announce the device on March 21.
