Apple makes a yellow iPad Pro for charity

18 April 2016 0

Apple has built a one of a kind 12.9 inch iPad Pro in a vibrant yellow color in support of a Design Museum Charity auction on April 28th. The tablet has been designed by Apple's John Ive and his design team.

The Apple iPad Pro comes with new matching accessories including a French leather Smart Cover and an orange Pencil case in Italian leather. The device along with the accessories is expected to fetch approximately $14,200 to $21,300.

The bright yellow iPad Pro is very different from Apple's usual color lineup of Space Gray, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold. The new product will definitely turn heads if you are seeing carrying it around. This is not the first time that Apple has created a product especially for charity, earlier Jony Ive's team has created a red Mac Pro as well as a pair of solid gold EarPods among other things.

The device listing reads:

Unique and exclusive customized design by the Apple Design Team for Time for Design.

Jony Ive showed a prototype mobile phone at the Design Museum in 1990, long before he started working for Apple. He was winner of the museum's first 'Designer of the Year' award in 2003 for the iMac. To support the museum, he and his team in Cupertino have designed this special iPad Pro in a unique colour numbered Edition 1 of 1.
