Apple officially rolled out watchOS 3.1.3 along with macOS 10.12.3, iOS 10.2.1, and tvOS 10.1.1, to the general public on Monday. On the very next day, they started releasing the first beta of iOS 10.3, macOS 10.12.4, and tvOS 10.2. And now they are working on the first beta of watchOS 3.2.
Apple is planning to include several new features in watchOS 3.2, including SiriKit, Theater Mode etc. SiriKit provides Siri’s support for messaging, photo search and phone calls to more apps when paired with an iPhone. Apart from that, new services like booking a ride, and online payments are also supported.
SiriKit packs another interesting feature. Apple is letting third-party developers build new support into their apps. This can be done by registering new “domains” and “intents”. Siri checks the “intents” in each domain to know the human desire.
Another key feature of the latest beta is Theatre Mode. This allows users to disable “rise to wake” function in their watch. By doing this, the watch will shut down the display and the users will be notified with sound only.
It is not clear when the company will release the first beta of watchOS 3.2. As the first betas of next update of all other platforms already released, we could expect the first beta soon.
