Apple honoured the Earth Day last year by donating $8 million to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which is the world’s leading organization in wildlife conservation and endangered species. The donation was made through the proceeds it collected from select app purchases.
This year also Apple is doing something similar. Apple has again partnered with the World Wildlife Fund to celebrate the Earth Day 2017. Apple’s money raising initiative starts today and will continue through April 28. The Cupertino giant will donate $1 to the World Wildlife Fund for every purchase customers make in its stores with Apple Pay.
The donation amount is based on the purchase alone irrespective of the amount you are spending to purchase a device. In case you want to participate, simply visit an Apple retail store and make any purchase via Apple Pay. This can be done through Apple Watch or a compatible iPhone.
However, in case you want to contribute to the World Wildlife Fund without making any Apple Store purchase, then you can simply visit WWF’s Donate Once page, and make a one-time donation to the WWF.
