The smartphone industry has already taken its next big leap by adopting that bezel-less design. The concept of the bezel-less or an edge-to-edge display isn’t actually new, well if you’re thinking that 2017 is seeing some drastic changes then yes it’s, but the bezel-less display came quite early, though it wasn’t taken seriously before. Because, yeah! You guessed it right, three years ago, it wasn’t the right time.
Now, the smartphones’ design is moving in a new direction and their presence is pronounced just because of the trendsetters. While one has already adopted this and shown to the whole world, the next is still prepping it, well according to the rumors at least.
Samsung Galaxy S8 with its Infinity Display has taught the world that it’s a high time to ditch those heavy bezels that resist you doing the most from your device. We are hearing more and more rumors these days that a random phone will come with a bezel-less display soon. But, between all this plenty of speculations for random phones, we are actually eagerly waiting for the iPhone 8.
Ongoing rumors have to say that the next iPhone will have a major overhaul in its design. Apple will for the first time make use of the OLED display for its iPhone and it will be the coming iPhone that debuts this display. Rumors also convey that iPhone 8 will hold an impressive edge-to-edge display, even better than the Galaxy S8. So, if these rumors are to be believed then Apple would be seen utilizing the best of the OLED display and that too for the first time.
Now, a new iPhone 8 mockup has been surfaced in a video that shows how the iPhone 8 is going have an immersive screen. We are receiving many concept videos and mockups of iPhone 8 but the latest one is by far the best of them.
An article published almost a year ago in Wall Street Journal revealed Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive’s grand vision for the perfect iPhone design.
Jony Ive in an interview with WSJ said,
“For years, Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive has expressed a desire for the iPhone to appear like a single sheet of glass. The current design ideas for the 2017 iPhones are expected to push the handsets in that direction by eliminating much of the bezel around the display with the OLED screen.”
Now, according to the rumors, iPhone 8 display will be about the same as the screen currently gracing the iPhone 7 Plus. Below is the new mockup of the iPhone, watch out this video can make you more excited to wait for that utterly different iPhone 8.
