Apple has announced all-new iPad Pro which brings a number of significant upgrades over the predecessor. To start off, the display size has now been increased to 10.5-inch from last year's 9.5-inch size. It's not only the improvement in the size, the team has introduced a new ProMotion technology which allows new iPad Pro display to offer 120MHz refresh rate which is exactly double of the industry standard. And the good news, it is the first-ever iPad to feature support for HDR videos.
It now has a hexacore A10X Fusion CPU where three are high-performance cores and three are power-efficiency cores. The improvement has also been made to the GPU part where the iPad Pro now has a twelve-core GPU to offer better graphic performance. And as we talked about ProMotion with faster refresh rate, Apple says it also features dynamic fresh rate which adjusts as per what the user is viewing on the display.
Other new iPad Pro features include a 12-megapixel rear shooter and a 7-megapixle FaceTime HD camera. The battery on this new iPad is said to last for up to 10 hours on a single charge. Apple has announced 64GB model for both 10.5-inch as well as older 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. While the new iPad Pro will be shipping with iOS 10, it will be receiving a free upgrade to iOS 11 once it becomes available to the public. There is an all-new Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard to enhance the productivity capabilities of iPad Pro.
Now for the pricing, you will be able to buy 10.5-inch iPad Pro (64GB and WiFi) model for $649 but for the Cellular model, you will have to shell out $779. As for the upgraded 12.9-inch iPad Pro with ProMotion and other new features, you will be able to get 64GB WiFi model for $799 and Cellular model for $929.
