New ARKit film experiment puts virtual robot commandos inside real world

01 August 2017 2

Apple launched ARKit, a new framework for the developers back in June at its WWDC event. This allows the developers to create some AR experiences for iPhones and iPads using the iOS 11. Since its availability (not official) the developers have been busy in experimenting new things.

We have seen a plenty of such examples already, for instance, overlaying of virtual objects in the real world, detection of horizontal surfaces and the virtual objects jump and the examples on the transition between the two worlds are plenty.

Almost every day, a new app/game or an experiment comes and stuns us. Now, a new experiment can give goosebumps as it shows a robot invading the real world.

Another game developer, Duncan Walker made use of ARKit and Unity3D and created an astounding AR film experiment that puts virtual robot commandos inside the real world. The whole scene looks so real and no lesser than an action movie. The rendered models look so real that they make the whole scene look more real and perfect.
