WhatsApp is receiving some cool new features frequently and with such a pace, it may soon gain one more important feature that would save the eyes of the users from the screen glare. Yes, you guessed it right, the feature is the Dark Mode and the app seems to be getting this finally. Well, this feature will not only be soft on your eyes but also save the battery life of your phones. So, you will be able to spend even longer hours chatting with your friends without going heavy on the battery.
The report is coming from WABetaInfo who has continuously been putting information on what’s coming on the app. The new feature would be better suited for the smartphones with OLED displays which can turn off the pixels completely when they need to show black, thus helps in saving a lot of power.
In related news, WhatsApp may also be releasing the group call shortcut feature and reportedly, it has already been started via the 2.18.370 update and will roll out gradually to the users. The feature is now visible with the 2.18.373 version to a few more users. The new feature will allow the users to call all the group members at once. Previously, WhatsApp users had to call one member of the group and then add members. But this new update will make things easier and faster.
