Photo sharing app Instagram continues to roll out new features and improvements frequently, not only making the overall user experience amazing but also empowering the influencers to better reach out to their audiences. The latest feature in this regard is the ‘donation’ sticker that is being tested out in Instagram Stories. How often you wanted to perform a fundraising campaign for any of your projects and had to collect donations manually or direct your followers to another web page where you do so.
This new features would make it super simple for the influencers to perform fundraising. The feature was spotted by an app researcher named Jane Machun Wong and it seems that non-profit pages could use this feature as a sticker in their profile. The very feature was available on Facebook since years though this is the first time its happening on Instagram.
Currently, there is no real payment system implemented on Instagram though it’s quite certain that the social media app is testing out such features since long, and continues to move in the very direction. Instagram is also known to be working on an independent shopping app though nothing of such sort has been made public as of yet.
What do you think about this feature? Do you think this should be available for everyone and not only for the non-profits? Let us know in the comment section below.
