Popular instant messaging application WhatsApp continues to get frequent updates offering new features and improvements. The app recently got dark mode and group call shortcut while also was reported to get a fingerprint authentication system for chats. Now in the recent development, the app has got a new feature that has been spotted by an authentic source which is currently disabled and not available for all, for now.
The feature lets users search an image sent in chat to search on the web. Once the image is selected from chat, the user can select ‘search image’ which then looks for that image on Google search. This feature would allow WhatsApp to curb the spread of fake information as users would be able to search for an image on Google search, getting them an idea if it’s an authentic image or not.
Likewise, another feature offers a flag for transgender which is available through flag emoji section in the emoji section of the app. You can grab the WhatsApp beta to get these features are soon as they become available for the public beta program which would give you an opportunity to test out the latest features that are to be rolled out to the public WhatsApp version.
