WhatsApp goes completely free with still no ads

18 January 2016 0

After reading the headline, many of you might be thinking that wasn't WhatsApp already free? Well, that's partially true because WhatsApp was free only in developed countries and in some cases, it used to extend the free trial period for many users. That was the reason you were able to use the services of WhatsApp without paying its annual fee of $0.99 after the expiration of the free trial period.

However, you don't have to worry about all those stuff as WhatsApp has announced that it has gone completely free from now onwards. The announcement was made by the company through an official blog post. The main reason given by WhatsApp is that not every user has a debit or credit card number for making the payment. And even though the fee is just nominal, the team said that the many times it happens that even the users who have cards don't have funds when asked for fee payment.

Now, the service has gone free then you may be thinking does it mean that ads are coming. Well, then you also don't need to worry about the fact as WhatsApp has mentioned that they will be offering the same "experience with no ads and spam."
