Instagram rolls out feature to save live streaming to local storage

20 March 2017 0

Instagram is here with an exciting feature on its app that helps the users to save the live streaming videos on the mobile phone once it's all done helping the users to capture the moments. Most importantly, this would help them repurpose the content on other platforms like YouTube. Once the live stream is done, users won’t be able to see it again on the app, though the downloaded file on the smartphone could be watched later as a reference.

Users could tap the ‘Save’ in the upper right corner of the application, though this would only save the raw video and not the comments, likes, numbers or may that be any interaction in the video. Once it's saved, it would be made available in the camera roll though would no longer be there in the application.

Instagram is surely amazing with its updates and is grabbing the attention of many people that were not interested in putting on their lives on the internet. Stories, live videos are definitely drawing many in the app and this would only get better as more features come in like saving of the live videos. Previously, Instagram released an update that started rolling out live stories, though that feature is not yet out for everyone world wide.

Users using 10.12 version of Instagram in both Apple App Store and Google Play would be able to see this update.
