Viber is a well-known instant messenger application with the primary focus on voice calling by making use of the internet. The best part is that it is available across all the major platforms and now, it is time for a new update for the desktop client. The new update is aimed at saving you from the hassle of forwarding different texts or any other type of message to different contacts.
With the new updated version of Viber on your desktop, you will get a new forward icon next to the chat bubble which will allow you to forward multiple texts and more to multiple contacts. This functionality should not be confused with the ability to sending a particular message to different contacts which is one of the standard features among almost every major messaging apps. In order to use this feature, you simply need to right click on the particular message and choose contacts you want to send it to.
This feature works for simple texts as well as GIFs, links, and even instant videos.
Another major change included in this update is that Viber for desktop now allows sharing high-quality images of up to 200MB in size. There is an option which lets you choose if you want to share the photo with or without compression. This can be done with the help of Viber's drag and drop interface which makes sharing photos easier than ever, even if you have multiple photos.
Other than this, Viber shared tips on how to use Chat Extensions more efficiently for better conversations. Chat Extensions were introduced on the app last year and allow users to do more than simply texting or sending GIFs. They let you watch YouTube videos, play Spotify music, book tickets, etc. without having the need to exit the app. You can do all such stuff from within the app by simply tapping the Search icon.
Here is a short video demonstrating how you can make most of Chat Extensions:
