Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe now receiving Android Oreo 8.0

If you are Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe owner, we have a good news for you. The company finally starts rolling Android Oreo update for the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Last week, the company officially confirmed Android Oreo will be rolled out for Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom, Deluxe and Laser by the end of the March.

At that time, the company didn't confirm the exact release date but the good thing is the company starts the update process with the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. We can expect the other two Zen Fone 3 series devices will get the update pretty soon. It is important to mention the update is being rolled out for the 5.5-inches ZeFone 3 Deluxe bearing model number ZS550KL. The company will later release an update for the 5.7-inches variant ZS570KL. As expected the new update comes with a changelog which details what kind of changes new version is bringing for the users.

  • Upgrade to Android O.
  • Remove third-party App: TripAdvisor, Puffin Browser, and Kindle.
  • Remove Do It Later, Mini Movie, Quick Memo, PhotoCollage.
  • Move FM Radio function to quick settings.
  • After OS upgrade, in order to enter “All Apps” menu, use “swiping up” gesture to do so. Original “All Apps Icon” can be moved or changed.

The company also confirmed they will update all ZenFone 3 Deluxe devices with Android Oreo 8.0 with-in one week only so if you are amongst those who already have the ZenFone 3 Deluxe but yet not received the update, they can expect an update within next few days. If you haven't received the update notification yet, you can checkout manually as well by going into the settings menu >> About Device >> System update.
