Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 updated with August security patch

24 August 2018 2

Asus has released a software update for the ZenFone Max Pro M1 which brings August security patch. It means with this update, your device will be on par with the latest security patch from Google. Other than this, it fixes Myanmar Zawgyi language issue and improves NFC functionality for Google Pay and other supported apps.

It goes without saying that it is an over-the-air (OTA) update. This means ZenFone Max Pro M1 device owners should expect an update notification anytime. The update can also be checked manually by visiting Settings -> System if someone is getting impatient while waiting for the update notification. It is worth noting that the OTA update rollout is happening in batches which is likely to be the reason you have not received the update yet.
