Asus ZenBook 13, 14, and 15 launched as world's most compact laptops

30 August 2018 2

At IFA 2018, Asus took wraps off the ZenBook 13, ZenBook 14, and ZenBook 15. These are the newest offerings in the series with improved hardware and even smaller footprint. In fact, Asus is touting them as the world's most compact laptops in their respective display size segment.

The ZenBook 13 sports a 13.3-inch display, ZenBook 14 has a 14-inch display, and ZenBook 15 comes with a 15.6-inch display. All three boast Asus NanoEdge display technology which helps them in offering almost bezel-less viewing experience. All the four-sided bezels are ultraslim and offer up to 95% screen-to-body ratio.

Each of these models offers 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics card. There are no words on the amount of RAM and onboard storage yet but considering the competition, one can expect up to 8GB of RAM and 1TB HDD storage on the top-tier model. These laptops also integrated gigabit WiFi optimization for Intel Wireless-AC 9560 chipset which should be helpful in delivering faster WiFi connectivity.

With ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14, Asus is offering a LED-illuminated NumPad integrated into the touchpad. It means whenever a user feels the need of using a NumPad, he can use it directly on the touchpad as the LEDs will light up. This also helps Asus in offering a fully-fledged NumPad without having to compromise on the compact nature of the laptops.

Asus has refrained from sharing pricing and availability details of these new ZenBook laptops. It also not shared any timeline for the same but we can expect these details to become public as the launch will happen in a particular region.
