The annual MWC event in Barcelona is set to go underway in a few hours where many of the major and local brands will be unveiling new products. While almost all of the major brands have already released media invites and teasers to create some buzz, Asus has decided to stay silent for some reason. But if a new report is anything to go by, Asus has plans for releasing ZenFone 6 lineup at a dedicated event on May 14th.
The report is coming from an online publication Lowyat and is based on a magazine received alongside the press passes for MWC event. The magazine in question here has a couple of pages dedicated to the Asus ZenFone 6 launch date notification. It shows that the lineup will be unveiled on May 14th at an event scheduled to be held in Valencia, Spain. There are not many details about the phone but a silhouette suggesting that there will be full-screen display with minimum bezels and no notch. It also features a tagline "Defy Ordinary" which is another indication towards some kind of innovative technology announcement.
As for previous rumors and reports, the ZenFone 6 is claimed to sport a different kind of notch placement. The notch was shown to be on the top right corner but between the cellular signal and battery indicators. It will also be housing the selfie camera which is the sole reason notches are used in the front itself.
In another leak, the ZenFone is shown to be sporting a triple rear camera setup. This is starting to become a common trend among modern smartphones. The same leak also shows a gradient finish which is another trend in modern times. We can hope to see more details in the near future.
