03 May 2019 3

It's not a surprise that the Taiwanese giant Asus is getting ready to announce the first flagship of this year. The device will be announced as ZenFone 6. Back in February, we heard the company will release ZenFone 6 on May 14th, however today the company released an official teaser which confirms the launch event will be on May 16th in Valencia.

Apart from confirming the launch event, the teaser confirms the front-facing design of the upcoming Zenfone 6. It is quite evident the Zenfone 6 won't retain the traditional notch anymore instead it features notch-less design with minimal edges.

The teaser caption "DEFY ORDINARY" also hints the company wants to adopt the different design to stand out from the ordinary design. The company certainly will challenge the ordinary design by opting different solution to enhance the screen-to-body ratio. Now either the Zenfone 6 will have pop-up selfie snapper or slider mechanism.

Fortunately, the device recently appeared at Geekbench and FCC certification which confirms few key details. The device is featuring a Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixels. The exact size of the display is still in the dark. Under the hood, the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 chipset is powering the phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB native storage.

On the rear side, the ZenFone 6 has dual snappers. It comes with 18W fast charger straight out of the box. Many details are still in the dark but fortunately, Asus fans don't have to wait longer as the official announcement is less than two weeks away. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
