ASUS reveals Chromebook Flip 2 with Intel Core M3 and two USB-C ports for $499

04 January 2017 2

It's not long till the much-awaited CES 2017 kicks away but ASUS have already announced their upcoming Chromebook Flip 2 with amazingly good specs and a little too many add-ons as a surprise. This comes just days after a video released in what depicted the unboxing of a Chromebook Flip 2.

The Chromebook Flip 2 is featuring a full HD 12.5-inch display with multi-touch support of 10 points. As for being a Chromebook, it has a pretty attractive 360-degree hinge. In terms of processor, there are two variants, One is featuring Intel’s 6th gen m3 processor with 4GB RAM whereas the second variant has Intel’s sixth gen m7 processor with 8GB RAM. There are three variants 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB based on internal storage. It is featuring a special keyboard known as Backlit chiclet. For video chats, its front facing camera can capture video of HD quality.

Not just that, the Chromebook comes with two USB Type-C ports on each side of the body and it can be used for charging as well as data transfer. Like all the other ultrabooks, it also carries a microSD card slot and hey, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack (we're not mocking anyone!), just like it's predecessor.

For a price of $499 which was projected on BestBuy a few days ago the Chromebook Flip 2 seems like quite a steal but we'd know that for sure once we have a look at it at the CES 2017.
