Instagram now lets you comment directly from the main feed

22 December 2017 2

Last week, Instagram allowed users to follow hashtags which came just days after the team had started testing a standalone messaging app. Three weeks after announcing that fact that it reached 25 million businesses, Instagram is now testing another feature which might prove to be helpful for a few folks.

The new feature update will let users comment on a certain picture directly from the app’s main screen. The instructions involved are quite basic as you might need to look at an image for a few whole seconds like you’re carefully examining the picture with your true artistic sense. Next moment, you’ll be greeted with a thin box that asks you to “add a comment”.

This is a server-side update which means it might be a while till some of you get to see this. iOS users are already accustomed to this feature after the update rolled out for them last month. This is kind of a sleek feature cause why not comment on a picture at which you’re interestingly looking at for quite a while.

No harm in trying and if you do check this out and nothing pops up, it means you haven’t received your update. Who knows, maybe someday if you stare at a picture for too long, Instagram will taunt you as a creep. Aah, just kidding, maybe!
