A BlackBerry branded smartphone recently appeared at Geekbench bearing model number ‘BBG100-1’. The device spotted at a time when recently BlackBerry officially confirmed the Key2 to go official on June 7th. Like always the listing reveals few details regarding the hardware specs of the device.
The listing suggests the device is pre-installed with the latest Android Oreo 8.1. The Qualcomm's Octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset is powering the device at a clocking speed of 1.8Ghz with 4GB RAM. Now there are two possibilities regarding this device. The first one is ‘BBG100-1’ could be announced as a Lite variant of the upcoming Key2 or the company could release this device as the second budget-friendly smartphone with QWERTY keyboard. In either case, we can expect more details regarding the BBG100-1 will appear online ahead of June 7 event.
Recently the BlackBerry Key2 appears at Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG which suggests the device passes almost all hurdles ahead of its official announcement. The recent listings suggest the Key2 will be available in three variants including BBF100-6, BBF100-1 and BBF100-2.
