The latest render of U12+ from Blass confirmed at least the device will be available in three colors. The first color is obviously translucent which HTC introduced with last year's flagship U11. The image confirms HTC trimmed down the bezels from the edges but still the display has significant bezels around the display. Overall aesthetics of this device is pretty much similar to earlier HTC flagships, however, HTC refined it further to make it a worthy competitor of latest flagships. The device features dual cameras on the rear and the front side.

The good thing is Blass not only leaked the design of U12+ but also the hardware specs as well. As per Blass tweet, the U12+ will be powered up by the Qualcomm's Octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset. The Octa-core SoC is accompanied with 6GB RAM with either 64 or 128GB storage. The device is pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.1 but the leaked specs sheet confirms Android P update pretty soon. Apart from these specs, the device is also listed to have "Edge Sense 2" with new features and gestures to better assist users.
As per listing the U12+ will have a 12MP primary snapper with UltraPixel 4 tech whereas the secondary sensor is 16MP to provide portrait mode. Surprisingly the listing suggests the device will have AR stickers feature. At the moment it is still in the dark whether this feature is borrowed from Google or HTC will be bringing something else. A 3,500mAh battery cell is on board to keep the U12+ lights on. The LCD display panel is of 6.0-inches with Quad HD+ screen resolution.
In last few years, HTC struggles to regain the success track which they lost since the flagship One M9. The company tried different approaches to make a comeback so we can claim HTC's hopes are quite high with the U12+. The device could turn around tables for HTC but the company needs to make sure U12+ remains a budget-friendly flagship so that it can compete well against its competitors.
