Finally, the wait is over as the Chinese giant Oppo announced a new mid-range smartphone A7X. The best thing about the device is a new water-droplet notch at the top of the display, it will be available for 2,099 Yuan in China. The A7X listing appears on the Oppo's website without any formal launch. In terms of specs, the Oppo A7X is featuring a 6.3-inches display.
The display aspect ratio is 19.5:9 and the screen-to-body ratio is 90.8%. The MediaTek Helio P60 SoC is powering the device with max clocking at 2.0Ghz. The Mali-G72 is on board as GPU. The Octa-core SoC is accompanied with 4GB RAM and native storage is 128GB. Surprisingly Oppo opted 128GB as base variant instead of 64GB. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.1 based ColorOS 5.2.
The A7X is featuring dual rear cameras, the primary sensor is 16MP whereas the second sensor details are not mentioned. The device isn't much different from F9 so most likely its second sensor will be 2MP to provide depth sensing info. Up front, the selfie camera is a 16MP sensor. Oppo mentioned the selfie camera is AI tuned to bring the AI goodies to beautify your selfies.
As far as availability is a concern the device is currently up for pre-orders in Ice Flame Purple and Star Purple colors at a price tag of 2,099 Yuan in China. The company is offering free Oppo MH133 headphones as a launch offer. If you don't want to spend 2,099 Yuan at once you can get it on 3 months EMI. The device will be released on September 14th in China at 2:00 AM GMT.
