Apple is hosting an event later this month and it is supposed to update its hardware lineup in this event. Among these new devices, Apple may also announce the updated Apple iPad Pro with Face ID, near bezel-less design and more.

Sources closer to the matter have reported that the home button has been done away with to make way for the biometric Face ID unlock system, which is to work in more portrait and landscape modes. The upcoming Apple tablets are not going to sport a notch as reported earlier, instead will house Apple’s TrueDepth camera setup in the bezel.

Earlier, rumors have suggested that Apple is looking to incorporate USB Type C instead of the lightning port in order to be able to connect to more devices. The new iPads are said to be able to stream 4K HDR content to external monitors and TVs though this Type-C port.

It is reported that the Apple Pencil will be able to pair with the iPods when in close proximity, quite like the AirPods or HomePod. The new iPads are said to be equipped with a new "Magnetic Connector" and support for an updated Apple Pencil. This connector may support more accessories apart from just the keyboard.

The upcoming Apple iPads may be known as "iPad8.1," "iPad8.2," "iPad8.5" and "iPad8.6" for Wi-Fi only and "iPad8.1," "iPad8.4," "iPad8.7" and "iPad8.8" for cellular-enabled versions.

What are your expectations from Apple regarding the upcoming iPad models?

I'll be happy to not see a notch in the iPads as long as they are there in the iPhones. And iPhone notches aren't going anywhere. So, it's all the same to me.
