Samsung’s flip phone running on Android, also known as W2019 is set to launch soon and has seen its fair share of leaks and rumors. The phone is set to make its debut sometime this year with its unique flip design and physical keypad, in line with its predecessors the W2018 and W2017.
The phone has now been revealed in its full glory via some high-resolution images shared on the Chinese Social media site Weibo. These images are in line with the previous leaks and reveal the device in a copper colored metal body along with a black glass at the back.
The images suggest that the W2019 will feature a Type-C charging port and will not have a 3.5-mm audio jack. While the previous generation in this range also did not have an audio jack, Type C is a welcome change. A rear dual rear camera setup can also be noticed at the rear.
The device is said to feature flagship grade specifications in an odd form factor which has lost favors thanks to the growing attraction towards bezel-less displays. Though there are still a few fans who prefer a physical keypad and a flip phone, this is the line they would be looking forward to.
The phone may come with a Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and may have some key features that we would be able to see next year in upcoming Samsung devices. The W series of flip phones is limited to China and may never make their way out to other countries.

Have seen the renders on a number of occasions of the Samsung Flip phone W2019. But yes, this is "in full glory" this time.
This phone reminds me of the recently announced the Royole FlexPai, which is a foldable smartphone. Not quite the same. But the "fold", "flip" thing is the same.
The Flip phone from Samsung is a phone I was hoping to own if it were made available elsewhere. But this story confirms it's only for the Chinese market.
Samsung is making the phone and keeping it exclusive to China! Not bringing it even in their home market?
