From the past few weeks, we have been hearing rumors regarding the Nokia 8.1 almost on daily basis. All rumors suggest HMD codenamed the upcoming phone as Phoenix. As per the latest info, the upcoming Nokia 8.1 is indeed Phoenix and not just that the device is actually the Nokia X7 global model with same design and hardware. Just for the sake of reminder, the Nokia X7 was recently released in China and so far exclusive for the Chinese market only.
The new leak brings the marketing pics of Nokia 8.1 in which HMD global referred the device as Phoenix number of times. The leaked material certainly gives us all details regarding what to expect from upcoming Nokia 8.1 in terms of design, display, hardware, cameras and so on.
HMD Global already confirmed a launch event on December 5 in Dubai. Initially the Nokia 9 PureView was rumored to be the star of the show, later on, we have reports HMD once again delayed its announcement. Now it is almost confirmed the Nokia 8.1 will go official at the event.
In terms of specs, the Nokia 8.1 will be featuring a 6.18-inches display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels. The display aspect ratio is 19:9. Under the hood, the Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 710 SoC will be powering the phone with max clocking at 2.2Ghz. The Octa-core chipset is accompanied with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage whereas the top-tier variant has 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.
The device lights will be kept on by a 3,400mAH battery. The Nokia 8.1 will be available in Blue, Silver and Red colors. The primary rear snapper will be 12MP whereas the secondary sensor will be 13MP. Up front, the selfie snapper will be 20MP.
