The Galaxy S10 series rumors are gaining momentum at a very rapid pace, with each passing day we have something new and exciting regarding the upcoming flagship phones from Samsung. Since the Galaxy Note 9's announcement we have been hearing rumors regarding Galaxy S10 lineup almost on daily basis. Thanks to a continuous streak of rumors and leaks most of the details regarding the Galaxy S10 series are already out. Today we have a massive leak from PhoneArena which reconfirms many details which are circulating from past few weeks.
It is almost confirmed the Galaxy S10 series will be initially available in three variants, the base Galaxy S10, the ultra-premium variant Galaxy S10 Plus and the budget-friendly Galaxy S10 Lite. All three variants not only vary in terms of features but also all have slightly difference in the design and display. All the variants will have multiple cameras setup on the rear. The Galaxy S10 and S10 Lite will have dual rear sensors whereas the Plus model is expected with triple rear cameras. Let's have a look at the massive leak.
Thanks to the latest leak we have new renders of Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus which not only reveals design but also the dimensions. On the front-facing side, you will get a new Infinity-O display with a camera hole in the display. The first visual change on the front is that the Galaxy S10 has single camera output for the selfie snapper whereas the S10 Plus has two cutouts on the front.
The Galaxy S10 dimensions are 148.9 x 70.9 x 7.8mm, just for the sake of reminder the Galaxy S9 measures at 147.7 x 68.7 x 8.5 mm which means the successor is slightly wider and thicker than the predecessor but significantly slimmer. The Galaxy S10 Plus measurements are 157.7 x 75 x 7.8mm.
The Galaxy S10 Lite will have 5.8-inches display, the standard Galaxy S10 will have 6.1-inches display panel whereas the largest amongst all will be S10 Plus with 6.4-inches display panel. Both the S10 and S10 Plus will have Infinity-O curved AMOLED display panels. Despite having cutouts for the selfie cameras both the phones have thin bezels on the top and bottom of the display. All variants lack notch at the top instead the company opted for camera cutout only. The S10 Lite display will be flat from the edges.
It will be a disappointment for those who were waiting for a true bezel-less flagship from Samsung but still, the in-hole camera module is a refreshing change from the notch. The display screen-to-body ratio is significantly higher than the predecessor.
The latest report once again iterates the S10 has a single front-facing camera and triple sensors on the rear. The S10 Plus has dual sensors on the front and triple rear cameras on the rear. The primary rear sensor on both S10 and S10 Plus will be similar(most likely a variable aperture sensor). The pocket-friendly Galaxy S10 Lite will have dual rear cameras and single selfie snapper.
The US-bound variant of S10 and S10 Plus will have the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 chipset whereas the global model will have Exynos 9820 under the hood. The Galaxy S10 series expected to be announced on February 20th just ahead of MWC 2019. As far as the pricing is a concern the S10 series will be up for pre-orders from the announcement day with a release in from 8th of March.
The S10 Lite is rumored to cost $800 whereas the S10 will be around $1000 whereas the ultra-premium S10 Plus expected to be available at $1100.
The Galaxy S10 was initially rumored to not have a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack but as per latest info, the traditional headphone jack isn't going anywhere. The Note 10 could be Samsung's first flagship without a traditional headphone jack. All three variants will have Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. The special model will have exclusive 5G connectivity feature. It is still in the dark whether the 5G variant will be released alongside the regular models or not.
We will recommend taking this info with a pinch of salt as nothing is from the official sources so you can expect a different final product. Do share your thoughts regarding the massive leak of Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10 Lite in the comments section below. Stay tuned.
