Like 5G smartphones, foldable phones have created a lot of noise last year and may continue doing so this year as well. One of the first few phones to feature both the technologies is Samsung’s foldable phone which was teased at SDC last year. Since then we’ve seen quite a few leaks and rumors surrounding the design, specifications and other aspects of the phone.
Now a new report coming out of South Korea reveals some information about the camera set up on the foldable phone. The news on the Korean online publication states that the phone may be launched in the first half of the year and Samsung may even include a triple rear camera set up this is contrary to the previous report suggesting the presence of dual camera setup.
Though Samsung, with its revised approached, is adopting multiple sensors on most of its new phones like the Galaxy A7 or A9. Even the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 is said to feature the same camera setup as the Galaxy Fold or Galaxy F. The rumored triple camera configuration could include a primary camera along with a depth-sensing secondary sensor while the third sensor could be a super wide angle camera.
The Galaxy A9, which is the world’s first quad camera phone, has the same setup but also has a telephoto lens, however, both the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy S10 may not have this telephoto lens.

Apart from Samsung, even Huawei seems to be ready with its foldable phone which may be revealed around MWC this year. However, since the technology is at a nascent stage, both the phones are said to be a costly affair.
