CENTRiC unveils S1 with pop-up camera and mid-range A2, L4, G3 and G5 phones at MWC

At the biggest smartphones trade show, the Indian smartphone manufacturer CENTRiC wraps off the cover from five new smartphones. The best amongst all is the bezel-less S1 with an under-glass fingerprint scanner and pop-up selfie snapper. Apart from the S1, the company launched mid-range A2, L4, G3, and G5 for budget-conscious buyers. All the phones will be released later in June this year for the Indian market.

CENTRiC S1

The premium amongst all will be S1, the device features a 6.39-inches AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution. Like most of the latest phones the S1 with thin bezels around the display, the display aspect ratio is 19.5:9 and the screen-to-body ratio is 92%. The device comes with an optical under-glass fingerprint scanner.

The MediaTek Helio P70 SoC is powering the phone. The base model has 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The top-tier model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The S1 has pop-up selfie snapper of 8MP. It works pretty much similar like the V15 Pro. The S1 has dual rear cameras, the primary snapper is 16MP whereas the secondary sensor is 5MP. Both the sensors are accompanied with single LED flashlight. A 3,800mAH battery is on board to keep its lights on. It comes with Pump Express 3.0 fast charging. According to the company, the device can be recharged up to 50% in just 20 minutes. Another good thing is the device also supports wireless charging.

CENTRiC G3

The CENTRiC G3 comes with a 6.23-inches display with Full HD+ screen resolution. The display aspect ratio is 20:9. The MediaTek Helio P60 SoC is powering the phone with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The dual rear cameras are 12MP+5MP. The selfie snapper is an 8MP module. It also has 3800mAH battery cell. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear side.

The CENTRiC G5 sports a 6.21-inches display with HD+ screen resolution. Like most of the latest phones, it has teardrop notch. Under the hood, it is powered up by the P22 SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. A 4,050mAH battery is on board to keep its lights on. The dual rear cameras are 13MP+2MP. The front-facing selfie snapper is 8MP. It has facial recognition and fingerprint scanner as biometric options.

CENTRiC A2

The A-lineup phones fall in the entry-level category. The A2 comes with a 5.86-inches display, its a notch display with HD screen resolution. Like the G5, it also has P22 SoC. On the rear side, you will get dual cameras, the primary snapper is 13MP whereas the secondary sensor is 5MP. Up front the selfie snapper is 8MP. A 3,400mAH battery will keep its lights on. The device is only available in 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The cheapest amongst all is the entry-level L4. The device features a 5.45-inches display with HD screen resolution. It has only single rear snapper of 13MP whereas the selfie snapper is 8MP. A 2,950mAH battery is keeping its lights on. It is running on the MediaTek 6739 SoC with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Like the A2 it also has a fingerprint scanner. All the phones will be pre-installed with Android Pie straight out of the box except the L4 which will be on the Android Oreo.

The S1 will be available at a price tag of $310 which is roughly INR 23,999 at current currency exchange rate. The G3 will be available at INR 18000, the G5 will be cheaper at INR 11370. The A2 will cost INR 10,000 whereas the L4 will be cheapest amongst all INR 6500.
