28 February 2019 3

UPDATE (February 28th, 2019):

The popular online publication WinFuture.de has released a couple of renders showing Huawei P30 and P30 Pro design. Both models look quite identical except for the rear cameras. The P30 Pro is shown with a quad camera setup and the standard P30 is shown with a triple rear camera setup. On the front, both phones feature a waterdrop-styled notch and bezel-less display. Huawei seems to be continuing with the Gradient finish which makes phones look stunning.

At this year MWC show, the Chinese giant Huawei wrapped off the cover from the company's first foldable smartphone Mate X. The device is special not only due to its foldable display but also it supports 5G connectivity. Samsung unveiled Galaxy S10 series in the Unpacked event on February 20th, Sony took the stage on Feb 25th to launch Xperia 1. Now all eyes are on the Huawei's upcoming flagships which are scheduled to go official on March 26th in Paris.

The P30 and P30 Pro are rumored to be camera-centric flagships like its predecessor. The P20 Pro is still on top as the best camera phone in the market despite being a year older. From what we heard so far the P30 will have triple rear cameras whereas the P30 Pro will have quad cameras on the rear side. Today we have the first live images of P30 which reveals its design from all angles.

The P30 is internally codenamed as “Vogue”. The live images confirm the P30 will have triple rear cameras on the top left corner. All the sensors are aligned vertically in a module with dual LED flashlight below it. Like the last year, the VOGUE branding will be replaced with the P30 and LINK branding will be replaced as Leica branding.

The chassis is made up of metal with glass covering the rear side. It lacks fingerprint scanner on the rear side which backs rumors of an in-glass fingerprint scanner. The right edge has volume controllers and power button. For connectivity, the device has USB-C port but lacks the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

Unfortunately, the leaked images didn't reveal the front-facing side. As per so far rumors the P30 will have OLED display with waterdrop notch and Full HD+ screen resolution. Under the hood, the Kirin 980 SoC will be powering the phone.

We can expect more details will leak online in coming days. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
