Nubia Red Magic 3 may come with 30W rapid charging support

29 March 2019 4

ZTE’s Nubia Red Magic may soon see its 3rd iteration. It’s being reported that a new Nubia phone with a model number NX629J has just been certified by the Chinese agency 3C. The previous generation Nubia phone came with a model number NX619J, so in all probability, this is the next generation Nubia Red Magic Gaming phone.

While the 3C certifications do not reveal much about the specifications of the device, it suggests that the phone may come with up to 30W PD rapid charging. This is in line with the recent announcement made by Nubia’s CEO, Ni Fei, who said that the upcoming Nubia phone may come with a battery pack that starts with ‘5” hinting towards the presence of a 5,000 mAh battery pack. With the presence of this new charging technology, the battery can be recharged faster.

As per earlier leaks, the Nubia Red Magic 3 is said to come with a powerful Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 12GB of RAM. To keep the temperature under control, the phone may come with a hybrid cooling system which has a liquid cooling system, air cooling, and a turbofan. This turbofan is said to come with a feature that will maintain cooling depending on the tasks running on the device.

Other features that are rumoured as of now include a better display with 120 Hz refresh rate and enhanced eye protection during prolonged gaming sessions and a 4D vibrations system for better haptic feedback.

The 3C approval suggests that the phone may make its debut in the coming months. It is speculated that the phone may be competitively priced and may give stiff competition to the recently launched Black Shark 2 Gaming phone from Xiaomi’s stable.

Exciting to see another gaming phone from Nubia. The Red Magic and the Black Shark have proved to be the nemesis when choosing either of them. Full of features.
