OnePlus devices are the most anticipated ones every year, thanks to the price v/s value proposition they offer along with the aggressive marketing by the company. The company is said to launch three different devices this year namely OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.
Going by the rumors and leaks, the OnePlus 7 Pro may come with improved hardware specifications and hence may have an increased price tag as well. OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau has hinted that the OnePlus 7 Pro may cost around USD 700.
A Weibo user asked Pete Lau, OnePlus’s CEO, about the price of OnePlus 7 Pro and asked him if 5,000 Yuan would be enough to buy the OnePlus 7 Pro? He responded by saying that it would be just enough. This communication suggests that the OnePlus 7 Pro may be priced around CNY 7000 or USD 745.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is said to come with a noticeable display upgrade and may house a display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. It may come with a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED curved display with a quadHD+ resolution. It is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC and may come in three different storage variants with 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
It is also rumored that the OnePlus 7 Pro may come with a pop-up selfie camera setup and may house a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a telephoto lens of 8-megapixel with 3x optical zoom and a 117-degree 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. The phone may have an in-display fingerprint sensor and may house a 4000 mAh battery with 30W warp charge support.
OnePlus has claimed that the 7 Pro is going to be their most advanced product. Their CEO has stated that the company has tripled the investment made in the display tech this year. There is no doubt that the phone may end up as one of the highest selling devices, however, people do not prefer moving parts in smartphones and if the pricing isn’t right, it may be detrimental for the device.
