The ThinkPad lineup laptops from Lenovo are indeed one of the best machines available in the market. However, the goodies come at a hefty price tag as you will have pay above $1000 for a solid ThinkPad laptop. In last year or so the company released few affordable variants of ThinkPad lineup but still the prices are way higher than average laptops in the market.
Today the company wraps off the cover from a new ThinkBook lineup laptop which brings a number of ThinkPad lineup perks at an affordable price tag. The new ThinkBook lineup is aimed at small and medium businesses that's why it comes with business-grade security. Initially, the company launched variants 13S and 14S. As the name suggests the 13S features a 13-inches display whereas the 14S variant has 14-inches display.
Both the PCs features TPM 2.0 security chips. Other security goodies include webcam shutters and fingerprint scanner. You can access Skype by simply pressing the dedicated button. In terms of hardware, you can opt up to Core i7 Intel 8th gen processors. The AMD Radeon 540X is taking care of graphics. The top of the line model comes with 512GB SSD native storage. As OS both the laptops are pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro.
The base model of ThinkBook 13S comes with 4GB RAM at a price tag of $729. On the other hand, the 14S base model comes with 8GB RAM at a price tag of $749. Due to smaller display the 13S last longer on a single charge. Both the latest machines will be released in the next couple of weeks.
Those who are looking for something more powerful they can opt the 2nd gen of ThinkPad X1 Extreme with up to latest Core-i9 9th gen Intel processors and 4K OLED display. The ThinkPad X1 Extreme second gen will be released in July this year at a price tag of $1499.
