The Chinese giant Lenovo today unveiled another variant of Z6 lineup in China. Last month the flagship Z6 Pro was announced and now the company unveiled Z6 Youth Edition. As the name suggests the Z6 Youth edition is an upper mid-range phone with toned down hardware as opposed to Z6 Pro.
It also features aluminum chassis with glass covering the front and rear side like the Pro model. It features gradient finish on the rear side. In terms of specs the Z6 Youth Edition sports a 6.3-inches dewdrop display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear side in the center below the cameras setup. As a secondary biometric option, it features facial recognition.
Being an upper mid-range phone it is running on the Qualcomm's Octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset and the Adreno 616 is taking care of graphics. The device will be available in three configurations. The base model has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The standard model has 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The top of the line model has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The device comes with triple sensors on the rear side including 16MP+8MP+5MP. Up front the selfie snapper is 16MP. A 4,050mAh battery cell is on board to keep the device lights on. It comes with 15W fast charger straight out of the box. As OS the device will be pre-installed with Android Pie based ZenUI skin over it. It will be available in Magic Stardust, Knight Black colors.
The 4GB RAM model will be available at 1,099 Yuan. The standard model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available at 1,399 Yuan. The top of the line model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage at a price tag of 1,699 Yuan. The device is up for sale soon after the announcement via official Lenovo store and selected retailers.
