Samsung’s DeX live patent suggests wireless display mirroring in Galaxy Note 10

30 May 2019 2

We’ve all dreamt of an ideal tech scenario where you can seamlessly use your powerful smartphone as a desktop too. Samsung is one brand that is continuously working to improve its DeX experience in a bid to achieve seamless integration.

The South Korean company has filed a new patent called DeX Live with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. As per the new patent, it looks like Samsung has cracked out the code to wirelessly run DeX experience using your Samsung phone.

To recall Samsung introduced DeX with its Galaxy S8 series and has improved immensely over the period of time with the Galaxy S9 series. It is now expected that the Galaxy Note 10 may come with DeX live. To recall, the last iteration of Galaxy Note series i.e. Note 9 ran DeX experience using USB-C to HDMI cable.

For those unaware, the Galaxy Note 10 may be announced later this year and may come in two different variants this time around.

I remember to have had the first encounter with the DeX a few months back. One of the best accessories from Samsung. And now it's kind of gen-next with this release.
