Tired of getting dumb things like the latest Trump meme or some fashion line launch in the world in your RSS feed? Feedly has brought you the much-required update for this. Feedly is one of the most popular RSS feed aggregators and it has launched a new feature called the Mute Filters.
The tool, Mute Filters lets you pinpoint a few keywords of your choice so that you can filter your feed.
Setting up Mute Filters is a four-step process that is pretty easy.
1. Open the Filters tab on the top left of your Feedly feed.
2. Select Add your first filter, add text that will cover the kind of content of an article you'd like filtered
3. Set the feeds it should apply to, and the duration of the filter.
You can even create filters while you read, just select text via the Feedly web client and select "Mute this phrase" to have a filter built around it. You can also add a list of operators for more precise targeting.
Mute Filters is available only for the Feedly Pro members i.e. paid subscribers for now.
