Instagram introduces new ways to make texts in Direct more expressive

19 September 2017 3

A month ago, Instagram added a comments threading feature just like how it was made on Facebook soon after which it announced new ways to reply to photos and posts. A week after a new feature allowed Instagram Stories to be shared through Direct, Instagram now allows you to make more expressive texts which reply to a message in Direct.

With this addition, users can use a plain colorful background or add a text on a selfie to convey their message in a more eloquent way. The user needs to do is type a message, then open the app’s camera in the bottom left part of the screen, capture the disappearing picture and hit send.

Users would also be able to add background colors depending upon their liking or mood in addition to changing the intensity of the color chosen. The company has already started rolling out the latest version 14 of its app on Android and the same will be seeded to iOS devices pretty soon in the near future. Make sure you download or update to the latest version of Instagram through the Play Store to access this new feature. Cheers!
