A survey revealed the increasing adoption of Instagram in the US and the UK last month indicating that the picture posting networking site is growing rapidly. Just a month after acknowledging close to 700 million monthly active users, Instagram announced at an NYC event that its service is now being actively used by over 800 million people worldwide on a monthly basis.
Back in April, Instagram admitted having secured close to 700 million active monthly users which doubled in a matter of two years. With a huge crowd to deal with, the company doesn’t seem to have slowed down in growth as it has also managed to gain 500 million active daily users, of which 100 million were added in the last five months.
Instagram has also revealed that it has now close to 2 million advertisers on its social networking site which has grown from 1 million since March this year. The company also indicated that the number of videos being uploaded has amounted to four times compared to that of last year’s and the time spent on viewing them has, in turn, achieved our 80% gain. Much of the fame comes from Instagram’s efforts to implement features from Snapchat ever since it copied its Stories section last year.
