Computex 2019 has been a great show up till now for the tech lovers where the event has brought forward amazing new products from different companies from around the globe. HP announced its beautiful business convertible with amazing battery life while Dell has unveiled its very own next-generation laptop named as XPS 15.
The laptop retains the five-year-old chassis thus keeps the same pin charging port and doesn’t offer the 130W USB Type-C charger which was sawed on XPS 15 2-in-1. The laptop boasts Intel’s 9th generation H-series Core processors. This means that we’d be experiencing octa-core CPU in Dell XPS laptop for the first-time offering Core i9 processor. Likewise, talking about the GPU in place, it offers Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 which is a huge jump from the previous generation offering GTX 1050 Ti.
Another highlight of the device is its 4K OLED display which means that it would offer true blacks. Then we also get two 4K variants with one offering 500 nits in the shape of UltraSharp 4k while another 4K OLED at 400 nits that don’t come with touch technology. Likewise, we also get an option of a 1080p model that offers an amazing battery life of 20.5 hours.
Then talking about the RAM configurations, we get a 64GB Dual Channel DDR4 2666MHz RAM with 2TB PCIe 3x4 SSD. Dell shared how the OLED panel would be available at a price point of $1899.99 while the XPS 15 would be priced at $999.99.
Another big announcement from the company comes in the shape of the company’s upcoming XPS 13 2-in-1 offering Intel’s 10th generation Ice Lake processor, which means that the latest one would offer a massive bump in the performance from the XPS 13 2-in-1 lineup that had Intel’s Y-series processor.
The laptop would come with different options for Windows 10 version with Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Home Ultra out of the box. XPS 13 2-in-1 is super thin with just 0.51 of thickness at its widest point and is weighed at 2.9 pounds. The device includes two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and another microSD card slot.
As expected, the laptop offers Dell’s InfinityEdge display with resolutions going up to 4K though this time around the aspect ratio is 16:10. Talking about the RAM and storage options, we get ‘32GB LPDDR4x SDRAM at 3733MHz and up to 1TB SSD.’ Variants.
